what’s actually running in my closet (homelab deep dive)

honestly everyone thinks a homelab needs to be a $5k rack in a basement but i’m literally out here running a whole ecosystem on a lenovo yoga 500-14isk. it’s been since september and somehow it hasn't caught fire *yet* so we’re winning ✌

the hardware running debian trixie on an i5-6200u with 8gb of ram. i know, i know, 8gb in 2026 is criminal but it’s holding up (cant upgrade anyway cuz of mobo). the hdd is ALSO slow asf sadly but it gets the job done.

the docker stack i’m running a bunch of stuff to stay off the grid and keep my data mine. here’s the breakdown:

* **music**: navidrome + feishin + tidaloader. basically my own spotify but better. plus i got liquidsoap and icecast running "swagfm" for no reason (private radio for copyright reasons) * **photos**: immich server. i dont actually really use it i do sync everything once in a while tho * **utils**: adguard home (kill the ads), cloudflared (tunneling so i dont expose my ip and i cant do port forwording anyway), and glance for the dashboard. * **bots**: petpal (friends discord bot) and symphcord (my discord bot) just doing their thing in the background.

the internet stats vnstat is saying i’ve moved like 282gb this year already. estimated to hit over 4tb by the end of 2026. my internet provider probably hates me but who cares they dont give me port forwording and easy dash access ( i gotta call them to req access ) so they might as well f themselvs

if u wanna build something similar just find an old laptop and stop paying for subscriptions yall
